1. What Data We Collect

The categories of personal information collected when you use bdwen

bdwen collects personal data in several categories. The data we hold about you depends on which features of the platform you use and how long you have been a registered player. We do not collect data that is unnecessary for the operation of the platform or the services we provide. Below is a breakdown of the data categories we may hold and the source from which each category is collected.

Registration and Identity Data

When you create a bdwen account, we collect: your mobile phone number (primary identifier), a username of your choice, date of birth (for age verification), and country of residence. If KYC verification is triggered, we additionally collect a government-issued photo ID (NID or passport number and image), proof of address, and a selfie or document confirming identity. This data is collected directly from you during registration and verification.

Transaction and Payment Data

Every deposit, withdrawal, and in-platform transaction generates a record. We store: the transaction type, amount in BDT, date and time, the mobile wallet identifier used (e.g. the registered bKash or Nagad number), transaction status, and any reference numbers issued by the payment provider. We do not store your mobile wallet PIN or password. Full payment account numbers are masked in our records.

Device and Technical Data

When you access bdwen, our servers automatically log: your IP address, device type and operating system, browser type and version, referring URL, pages visited within the platform, timestamps of each visit, and session duration. This data is collected for security, fraud prevention, and platform performance purposes. It is not used to build individual marketing profiles.

We also collect gameplay data including bet history, game types played, win/loss records, bonus usage, and wagering activity. This data is used to administer your account, settle bets correctly, apply responsible gaming tools, detect unusual patterns, and resolve disputes. Gameplay data is retained for the periods set out in the Data Retention section of this Policy.

2. How We Use Your Data

The purposes for which bdwen processes your personal information

bdwen uses personal data strictly for the purposes described in this Policy. We do not use your data for purposes incompatible with those listed below. The primary legal bases on which we process data are: performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, your consent (for marketing communications), and our legitimate interests (for fraud prevention and security).

Account and Service Delivery

We use your registration, identity, and payment data to: create and maintain your bdwen account, process deposits and withdrawals through your chosen mobile wallet (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, or Upay), verify your identity and age, settle bets and credit winnings, apply bonuses and promotional rewards, and provide customer support. This use is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and bdwen.

Fraud Prevention and Security

We process technical and behavioural data to: detect and prevent fraudulent transactions, identify suspicious login activity, enforce our one-account-per-player policy, monitor for money laundering indicators, and protect the platform from automated bots and abuse. This processing is based on our legitimate interests in maintaining a safe and fair platform for all players.

Responsible Gaming

We use gameplay and account data to: monitor for signs of problem gambling, apply deposit limits and session time limits set by the player, administer self-exclusion requests, and identify players who may benefit from responsible gaming support. This processing is based on both our contractual obligations and our legitimate interests in player welfare.

We may also use anonymised and aggregated data (data from which all personal identifiers have been removed) for internal analytics, platform improvement, and reporting purposes. Anonymised data cannot be used to identify you and is not subject to the same restrictions as personal data under this Policy.

3. Sharing Your Data

The circumstances under which bdwen may share your personal data with third parties

bdwen does not sell your personal data. We share data with third parties only in the limited circumstances described below, and only to the extent necessary for the stated purpose. All third-party recipients of your data are contractually required to handle it in accordance with applicable data protection standards.

Payment Processors

To process deposits and withdrawals, bdwen shares transaction-relevant data with the mobile wallet operators (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay) and any intermediary payment processor involved in completing the transaction. This data is limited to what is required to execute the payment — typically the wallet number, transaction amount, and reference identifier. Payment processors are not permitted to use this data for any purpose other than completing the transaction.

Game Providers

When you play a game powered by a third-party provider (such as Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming, Spribe, or Ezugi), a session token and anonymised player identifier are transmitted to that provider to facilitate gameplay and settle game results. Game providers do not receive your full name, NID, mobile number, or payment details. They receive only the minimum technical data required to run the game session.

Legal and Regulatory Disclosure

bdwen may disclose your personal data to law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, or courts where required to do so by applicable law, by court order, or in connection with the investigation of suspected fraud, money laundering, or other criminal activity. Such disclosures will be made without prior notice to the player where legally required or permitted.

We Never Sell Your Data

bdwen does not and will never sell, rent, or lease your personal data to any third party for commercial or marketing purposes. Any sharing of data is strictly limited to operational necessity as described above. If you receive unsolicited marketing from any third party claiming to be associated with bdwen, please report it to [email protected] immediately — it is not authorised by us.

4. Payment Data and Financial Privacy

How bdwen handles the financial and payment information associated with your account

bdwen takes financial data privacy seriously. All payment transactions on the platform are processed through encrypted channels. The platform supports bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and Upay — four mobile wallet services widely used across Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barisal, Rangpur, and Mymensingh. Because these are mobile-wallet-based transactions, bdwen does not store traditional bank account numbers, card numbers, or card security codes.

What Payment Data We Store

We store: the last four digits or partial identifier of your registered wallet number (for display and verification purposes), transaction amounts and dates, transaction status (completed, pending, failed), and payment reference numbers. We do not store your full mobile wallet number in plain text in our application databases — it is masked. We do not store your mobile banking PIN, OTP, or any authentication credential for your wallet account.

AML Monitoring

bdwen is required by its operational policies to monitor financial transactions for indicators of money laundering and terrorist financing. Transaction records are analysed for unusual patterns including atypical deposit volumes, rapid cycling of funds, and mismatches between deposit source and withdrawal destination. Where suspicious activity is identified, the relevant records may be reported to the appropriate authorities in accordance with our legal obligations.

Players are advised to ensure that the mobile wallet used for deposits on bdwen is registered in their own name and matches the identity information held on their bdwen account. Using a wallet registered to another person is a breach of our Terms and Conditions and may result in delays to withdrawals and additional KYC verification requirements.

5. Data Security Measures

The technical and organisational measures bdwen uses to protect your personal data

bdwen implements a range of technical and organisational security measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or disclosure. While no online platform can guarantee absolute security, bdwen's security architecture is designed to meet industry-standard data protection expectations for online gaming platforms.

Technical Safeguards

SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit between your device and bdwen servers; encrypted storage of sensitive data fields at rest; hashed and salted password storage (bdwen never stores passwords in recoverable plain text); IP-based anomaly detection and rate limiting; secure session token management with automatic expiry; and regular security patching of server infrastructure.

Organisational Safeguards

Access to personal data is restricted to bdwen staff and contractors who have a legitimate operational need to access it. All staff with access to personal data are bound by confidentiality obligations. We conduct periodic internal reviews of data access logs. Personal data is not shared with staff beyond what their specific role requires, applying the principle of least privilege.

⚠ Important: Protect Your Own Account

bdwen will never ask for your password, OTP, or mobile banking PIN via email, live chat, SMS, or phone. If you receive any such request claiming to be from bdwen, treat it as fraudulent and report it to [email protected] immediately. You are responsible for keeping your own login credentials secure. Use a unique, strong password for your bdwen account and do not share it with anyone.

6. Cookies and Tracking

How bdwen uses cookies and similar technologies on the platform

bdwen uses cookies and similar local storage technologies to operate the platform, maintain your logged-in session, remember your preferences, and analyse platform usage. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. bdwen uses both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your device for a defined period).

Essential Cookies

Strictly necessary for the operation of the platform. These cookies maintain your authenticated session (so you remain logged in as you navigate between pages), store your language and display preferences, and enable the core functionality of the betting and gaming interfaces. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without disabling the platform entirely, as they are required for it to function.

Analytics Cookies

bdwen uses first-party analytics to understand how players use the platform — which pages are most visited, where players navigate from, and how long sessions typically last. This data is used in aggregate form only and does not identify individual players. Analytics cookies can be disabled via your browser settings, though doing so may affect how certain features of the platform display or behave.

bdwen does not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels that share your browsing behaviour with external advertising networks. You will not be retargeted on other websites based on your bdwen activity. Your browsing behaviour on bdwen stays within bdwen's own analytics systems.

7. Your Data Rights

The rights you hold over the personal data bdwen holds about you

As a player on bdwen, you hold a number of rights in relation to the personal data we process about you. These rights may be subject to certain conditions or limitations under applicable law, but bdwen is committed to honouring them to the fullest extent required. To exercise any of the rights described below, contact our support team at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Rights Request".

Right of Access

You have the right to request a copy of all personal data bdwen holds about you. We will provide this in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format within 30 days of receiving your verified request. This includes your registration data, transaction history, KYC documents held, and any account notes associated with your profile.

Right to Correction

If any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request that we correct or complete it. Where the data in question has been shared with a third party (e.g. a payment processor), we will notify that party of the correction where reasonably practicable.

Right to Erasure

You may request deletion of your personal data where: you withdraw consent and no other legal basis applies; the data is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected; or the data has been processed unlawfully. Note that certain data must be retained for legal and regulatory compliance reasons (see Data Retention below) even where an erasure request is made — in such cases we will delete all data that can be deleted and explain what must be retained and why.

You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and the right to restrict processing in certain circumstances (for example, where you contest the accuracy of the data while we verify it). To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with "Data Rights Request" in the subject line, along with your registered mobile number so we can verify your identity before acting on the request.

8. Data Retention

How long bdwen retains different categories of personal data

bdwen retains personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Transaction records and KYC documents are subject to longer minimum retention periods due to anti-money laundering regulations. Account data for active accounts is retained throughout the period the account remains open. Once an account is closed, data is retained for the minimum period required by law before being securely deleted or anonymised.

Typical Retention Periods

Account and registration data: retained while account is active, then for up to 5 years post-closure. Transaction records: retained for up to 7 years from the date of transaction for AML compliance. KYC documents: retained for up to 7 years from the date of verification. Gameplay logs: retained for up to 3 years. Device and technical logs: retained for up to 12 months. Marketing preferences: retained until you opt out, after which they are deleted within 30 days.

9. Children and Minors

bdwen's strict policy on protecting minors from accessing the platform

bdwen is strictly a 21+ platform. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 21. Our registration process requires users to confirm their date of birth and to certify that they are aged 21 or above. Where bdwen discovers or has reason to believe that a registered account is held by a person under 21, the account will be suspended immediately, any balance will be frozen pending review, and all personal data collected from that individual will be deleted as soon as practicably possible after the matter is resolved. If you believe a minor has registered on bdwen, please report it immediately to [email protected].

10. Changes to This Policy

How bdwen notifies players of updates to the Privacy Policy

bdwen reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our data practices, legal obligations, or the services we provide. When a material change is made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change significantly affects how we process your data, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered players via the platform or via their registered contact details. Continued use of bdwen after a Policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

Stay Informed

We recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically. The page at bdwen.org/privacy-policy always reflects the current version. If you have questions about a change, contact [email protected] before continuing to use the platform. Your continued use after any update signals your acceptance of the revised terms.
